Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She is currently employed by ESPN as a reporter for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. She began her career at ESPN in the year of 2016. She is the child of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native bilingual. From the age of nine years old, her ability to converse in two languages allowed her to get the job she wanted in Miami as an assistant producer for Univision. In this role she was given the chance to be a part of national show producers, such as Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. It was the CBS affiliate of St. Petersburg hired her in the following year as the sports reporter. In 2009, she moved from Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she became a news correspondent at KNVO TV 48 Univision. The stories she wrote about covered immigration, drug trafficking, and others on the Texas and Mexico border. Also, she was the Spanish reporter on the newscast at 5 p.m. and anchor and reporter on the newscast of nine p.m. with a reporter and anchor in English as well as also a Spanish reporter from 10 p.m. Also, she was a substitute for sports anchors and weather forecasters. She was then the anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. In the following years, she was given more responsibility. She covered events like the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. She also produced Univision 23's local sports channel Accion Deportiva Extra, on where she was anchor. She also served as anchor for the sports segment of Despierta America Deportes morning show. In addition, she served as a sports anchor for Primer Impacto, a magazine program on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collin's parents originally hail from Veracruz Mexico. They eventually settled in Mexico City and she was born there on November 22 in 1985. She has a sister. In 1992, the family relocated to Miami after relocating from Mexico in the US. She divorced her parents within a short time and in the year 1995, she got married to a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 due to kidney cancer. She stayed in Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime in which she was given a job. Antonietta was a senior in high school but she was clear about the career she wanted. So while assessing if Mount Union would be a good fit for her Antonietta decided to go visit the school. The result was that she enjoyed the university, and the university offered the major she wanted. After high school, she graduated and began studying media at the University. Mark Bergmann, her professor who also managed the WRMU's 91.1FM station where she worked for a number of years, was an acquaintance. It was he who inspired her confidence, and his passion for journalism deeply touched her. As a result, she was determined to exceed his expectations and never let him down.
